“Celebrating 100” is a promotional campaign for the Portland Youth Philharmonic for a fundraising event. The design and illustrations were inspired by Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles. Our team’s concept was to show music interacting with wildlife and nature. The event was to take place in the spring, so we emphasize excitement, growth, and the buzzing rhythms of spring.
Our team was to design a print invitation, invitation envelope, save the date, response card, response
card envelope, and a note card insert. The digital deliverables were mailchimp headers, web banners, a facebook header and event banner, facebook posts, instagram posts, and a powerpoint slide template. After deciding on an art direction, the illustrators on our team went to work to create beautiful illustrations that conveyed the message of this event.
Drawing inspiration from Art Deco and Art Nouveau, we chose typeface and illustrations style that was sophisticated yet still playful
and inviting.
